LBJ Forum: Humanity: It's Time
April 30, 2020
Never before has humanity faced today's level of uncertainty, speed of change, and scale of disruption. Technology, especially AI, is putting human talents on the defense, upending jobs even as it makes modern life more productive and efficient. Historic levels of people are on the move, diversifying populations and altering the faces of nations. Across the globe, climate change is playing out its own uncertain drama on human life. It's a time that calls for visionary thinking by those who serve humanity, in public service and beyond.
LBJ worked passionately to create a fair, just, clean and secure America. This LBJ Forum will explore promising ideas, policies and leadership that address these challenges and point us toward a vibrant future. It will explore:
- How to fix access to health care
- Fixing the environment
- Fighting poverty and illiteracy
- Global security
- The kind of thinkers and doers that the next generation needs to be.
